Colobus conservation

Colobus Conservation is dedicated to the preservation and safeguarding of primates, particularly the nationally endangered Angolan colobus monkey (Colobus angolensis palliatus), and its coastal forest habitat in South-eastern Kenya. Their multifaceted work is centered around conservation, animal welfare, and education, with a comprehensive approach to address various aspects.

The projects encompass vital areas such as data collection, mitigation of human/primate conflicts, rescue initiatives, community social development and education, forest protection/enrichment, and an ecotourism awareness program. A tangible example of our efforts is the installation of ladders along Diani Beach Road, providing a safe passage for primates to cross, contributing to their well-being and the overall ecological balance.
